CFA Level 2 May 2025 results - The Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (CFA Institute) will tentatively declare the CFA level 2 May 2025 result in the third week of July 2025. The CFA results May 2025 will be declared at 9 am ET or 7:30 PM IST. Alternatively, the institute will also email the CFA level 2 results from 7:30 PM onwards. The CFA Institute will notify the CFA Level 2 May 2025 result date through its official website. Candidates can also access the result through their CFA login from the official website - cfainstitute.org. The Institute will also release the CFA level 2 pass percentage along with the result. The CFA institute will conduct the CFA Level 2 May from May 21 - 25, 2025. In the previous year, the CFA Level 2 Nov 2024 pass percentage dropped down to 39%, significantly lower than all other previous sessions.
The result of CFA level 2 informs candidates about their pass or fail status as well as topic wise scores and percentile rank. Candidates who clear CFA exams for level 2 would be eligible to enrol for CFA level 3. The CFA level 2 results are usually declared around 5-8 weeks after the exam. The CFA level 2 is the second level of the CFA course and takes place three times a year in the months of May, August, and November.

The Minimum Passing Score (MPS) is the minimum passing mark required by candidates to clear the CFA level 2 exam. The MPS varies for every session. The authorities determine the MPS for every session separately. This is done in order to account for the differences in the difficulty level of the exams.
Below are a few important points related to CFA Level 2 results.
The CFA level 2 result is announced online approximately 5-8 weeks after the exam.
The minimum passing score is determined by the authorities for each session to factor in the changes in the difficulty level and other influencing factors in the exam.
Candidates can access the result using their CFA login and also through email sent by the institute.
The institute also provides the candidate with an analysis of their exam performance.
The CFA level 2 result not only contains information on the candidate’s qualified status, but it also contains other information that helps candidates take stock of their exam performance. Given below are the important elements in CFA Level 2 result
Minimum Passing Score (MPS): The MPS is the most important element in the CFA level 2 result. A score above the MPS indicates the candidate has passed. A score below the MPS indicates the candidate has failed to qualify.
True Ability: The CFA level 2 result is an indicator of the true ability of the candidate as the institute tries to control factors which could unduly influence the result.
Confidence Interval: The CFA level 2 result is declared with a confidence interval of 90% indicating that there is only 10% chance for an error. Scores which are considerably higher than the MPS indicate a higher confidence interval as the candidate would have passed in the exam anyway. Similarly scores considerably below the MPS indicate that the candidate would have failed anyway.
Percentile Score: Candidates are also informed about the top 10 percentile and the bottom 10 percentile scores to give an idea of their relative scores compared to other candidates.
Topic Wise Score: The institute also provides topic wise scores to candidates to give an idea of topic wise proficiency. However, it is important to note that the CFA level 2 result is declared on the basis of aggregate score.
The CFA Institute also declares the CFA level 2 pass percentage along with the CFA level 2 result. It indicates the ratio of candidates who appeared in the exam versus who passed. Historically, the CFA level pass rate has been around 46%. The table given below gives the CFA level 2 pass percentage for all the sessions conducted till now.
