About CSEET 2020
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) will hold CS Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) on August 29 for admission into CS Executive. CSEET which has replaced CS Foundation programme will be held now by ICSI four times a year in May, July, November, and January. Candidates have to appear and qualify in CSEET exam to be eligible for CS Executive programme. The last date for CSEET 2020 registration is June 15 for the exam to be held on August 29. Candidates who have qualified in CS foundation or ICAI final course or ICMAI final course are exempt from appearing for CSEET.
The last date to register for CSEET (August 29) is June 15 while it is October 15 for the exam held on November 20. The registrations for January 2021 exam close on December 15, 2020. CSEET will comprise of a computer based test and a viva voce. The result will indicate the qualifying status of each candidate and will be valid for a period of one year from its declaration.

CSEET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
ICSI has released the CSEET 2020 eligibility criteria which has to be complied with by the students willing to pursue the course of Company Secretaryship. The following conditions need to be fulfilled:
- Candidate appearing in Senior Secondary examination (10+2 exam) or equivalent examination
- Candidate who has passed the Senior secondary examination (10+2 exam) or equivalent examination
Note- Graduates/ postgraduates who could directly enter the CS Executive programme will now have to compulsorily pass the CSEET.
Only the following categories of students can be exempted from CSEET:
- Candidates who have qualified CS Foundation exam - Without any exemption fee
- Candidates who have passed CA Final (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) - Have to pay Rs 5000 as exemption fee during CS Executive registration
- Candidates who have passed CMA Final (The Institute of Company Secretaries of India) - Have to pay Rs 5000 as exemption fee while registering for CS Executive.

To fill the application for CSEET, candidates must register, fill the details, upload documents and pay the fee. CSEET registration will be open for four times in a year. - Admit Card/ Hall Ticket for 10+2 Examinations (if appearing) or 10+2 Pass Certificate/ Mark Sheet (if already passed)

- Identity proof (Aadhar card/passport/voter ID /pan card/driving license/ration card)

How to fill the CSEET Application Form?
Step 1 : Registration: Click on the link given above.
Step 2 : Fill basic personal, address details and enter one exam centre as per preference from the list given. Submit and note the unique registration ID generated.
Step 3 : Fee payable comes up on the screen. If the amount is correct, save and move to the next step
Step 4 : Upload mandatory documents as specified above and submit the same
Step 6 : Preview application. Check all details are correct and confirm the application form.
Step 7 : Select payment mode and pay the fees. Note the transaction ID for future reference.
On successful payment, the CSEET is confirmed and will be intimated through email/SMS on registered email id/mobile number. A CSEET exam schedule will be sent through email/SMS.

Note that the CSEET registration can be done in stages. Candidates who have already filled in the basic registration details but could not complete filling the application can use their Unique Request ID after clicking on incomplete registration option given therein and proceed to the next stages of the application process.

CSEET 2020 Result
Candidates who have appeared for CSEET 2020 in May can check their result on or before the last week of May. They need to enter their registration number to login and avail the result. The qualifying status of the students will be mentioned in the result of CSEET along with the marks obtained in the entrance test. Only candidates declared as pass will be able to pursue the course. The result will depict the final score computed by adding the marks secured by candidates in both the Tests (CBT and Viva-Voce) out of a total of 200 marks.

The validity of the CSEET result is one year and candidates must register for the executive programme within one year failing which the CSEET result will be invalid and they may have to appear again.
CSEET 2020 Cutoff
ICSI has announced a minimum qualifying mark for CSEET. This is the CSEET cutoff which candidates must obtain if they wish to pursue the course. The CSEET qualifying cutoff is mentioned below
- Candidates must obtain a minimum of 40 % marks in each paper
- They must also obtain a minimum of 50% in aggregate.
Candidates who secure the qualifying cutoff of CSEET will be declared as "Pass" in the entrance exam.

Question: Is CSEET mandatory for all?
Yes, from now on, every student entering the CS course will have to pass CSEET and then register for CS Executive. Only students who have passed CS Foundation, CA Final and CMA Final are exempted from passing CSEET.
