CS Professional Registration Dec 2026 (Open) - Fee, Eligibility, Steps to Apply Online
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) accepts CS Professional registration throughout the year. However, candidates should check the cutoff dates for CS Professional registration 2026. Currently, CS professional registration for December 2026 is open till May 31, 2026 for both groups. Meanwhile, the CS Professional Dec 2026 registration for the single group is open till July 31, 2026. The registration fee is Rs. 12,000. To register, candidates must log in to their ICSI’s student account and fill out the CS Professional application form. CS Professional exam will be conducted twice in 2026 - once in June and then in December.

As mentioned above, the registration for the CS professional exam can be done by candidates throughout the year as per the CS Professional exam dates given by ICSI. Candidates can refer to the table given below, which describes the deadlines for CS Professional registration 2026. CS Professional Eligibility Criteria 2026
Before registering for the CS Professional exam, candidates should refer to the eligibility criteria requirements set of ICSI officially. The only and basic CS Professional eligibility criteria is qualifying the CS Executive exams (both modules) with the minimum passing marks prescribed by ICSI. Presently, to qualify the CS Executive exam candidates need to secure minimum 40% marks in each subject and an aggregate of 50% marks overall.
At the time of registration, candidates have to upload the CS Executive mark sheet/ Statement of Marks for both the modules and proof of passing the exam.
How to register for CS Professional 2026?
Step 1 - Go to the official website of ICSI - icsi.edu
Step 2 - Click on the link “Online Services” given in the menu bar of the home page
Step 3 - Now click on the option “Student Portal” and log in to your ICSI account. Enter your Username and Password, proceed forward.
Step 4 - Once logged in, select the option Students and click on “My Account”
Step 5 - Now look for the option “Professional Registration” as shown in the given image and fill the application form in online mode.
Step 6 - You will find your details in your account. Now upload the pass mark sheet of both modules of CS Executive exam.
Step 7 - Complete the CS Professional registration fee payment of Rs. 12000. The payment can be done through Credit Card / Debit Card / NetBanking.
Step 8 - Once the payment is complete, the registration is successful. Now candidates can go to the “Others” option and download Registration Letter / E-Identity Card.
Supply of CS Professional Study Material 2026
Candidates who register through the “Online Services” of ICSI are supplied study materials directly by post. Alternatively, candidates can also download the CS Professional study material from the official website of ICSI which is available in pdf format.

Registration Validity of CS Profession Exam
The registration to the regular stage of CS Professional course is valid for five years. After this period, candidates can apply for Registration De Novo by paying an additional fee.
CS Professional Registration De Novo
Candidates who are not able to qualify for all the exams within the five-year period are eligible for Registration De Novo. It has to be sought within a maximum period of five years after the expiry of their registration failing which the benefits accrued under the said registration gets canceled and the candidate has to seek fresh registration and have to start ab initio.

CS Professional Re-registration
This method is specifically for such candidates who are not able to seek Registration Denovo after passing the CS Executive exam under the various Syllabi introduced by the ICSI from time to time.

Note- Registration fee has to be remitted by way of demand draft favouring “The Institute of Company Secretaries of India” payable at New Delhi / Noida.
CS Professional Continuation of Registration - This is for candidates who have passed CS Professional exams and their registrations have expired but are yet to comply with all “Training Requirements” to become entitled to become a Member of ICSI. For continuation of registration, such candidates have to submit Rs. 1000 every year.

CS Professional Exam Form 2026
Once the registration period for a particular session is over, candidates have to fill the CS Professional exam form for that session to appear in the exams. As per the CS Professional exam pattern, there are three modules. Candidates can either fill the exam form for all modules altogether or for any single module as per their preference. ICSI will announce the exam application form cut-off dates for the December session on its official website- icsi.edu.
CS Professional Admit Card 2026
Candidates who fill the CS Professional exam form successfully within the time duration will be issued the admit card before the exam date. The admit card of CS Professional is an important document that must be carried by candidates during all exam days. Entry without the hard copy of admit card will not be allowed.
