Key Observations from the above given data

    • More number of Chartered Accountants came from the May session compared to the November session. This can be due to multiple external factors that affect preparation of candidates.

    • In the last eight years, the highest number of Chartered Accountants in a single session came from the May 2024 session, where a total number of 20,446 candidates became Chartered Accountants.

    • With this, the year 2024 saw the most number of students passing CA Final in the last eight years, the number going up to 31,946.

    • The January 2021 session saw the least number of Chartered Accountants, with only 2,682 students passing the exam. This can be largely attributed to the pandemic, as the Covid-19 pandemic was on peak during that period.

    • Similarly, the November 2023 and May 2023 also show less number of students passing the exam. This can be attributed to external factors like change in exam pattern, syllabus etc.

    • The CA Final Nov 2024 exam saw a slight dip in the number of students becoming Chartered Accounts. This can be due to the implementation of the new syllabus as all students have not become fully acquainted with the new syllabus.

    • After studying the past years’ trends, it can be predicted that the future sessions of CA Final might see continued growth and the May sessions are expected to bring out better results like usual.
