    CA Final Eligibility Criteria 2026 - The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) officially prescribes the CA Final eligibility criteria 2026. To avoid future discrepancies, candidates who want to fill out the CA Final exam form should check eligibility before registering for the exam. As per the eligibility criteria of the CA Final exam, candidates who have qualified the CA Intermediate level can register for the CA Final exam.

    The May 2026 exams of the CA Final level will be held as per the new ICAI scheme. Therefore, candidates must make sure they meet the CA Final eligibility criteria prescribed in the scheme. The CA Final registration is currently closed for the May 2026 session. However, the CA Final exam form for May 2026 is open till March 19, 2026.

    The CA Final exam is the last level of the Chartered Accountancy course. According to a recent press release by ICAI, the CA Final exam will be held three times each year, which will eventually offer students more opportunities.

    CA Final Eligibility Criteria Primary Requirements

    The Chartered Accountancy courses consist of three levels - Foundation, Intermediate and Final. One needs to clear the previous level to move on to the next level. In the case of direct entry, that candidate starts at the CA Inter level. To be eligible for CA Final registration, the primary requirement that will determine the candidate's eligibility for ca final exam is to have completed the CA Inter with an overall aggregate of 50% and 40% in individual subjects.

    One should also have completed the stipulated practical training before registering for the CA Final course.

    CA Final Eligibility Criteria 2026

    Before starting with the CA Final 2026 registration process, candidates are required to check whether they fall within the eligibility requirements set by ICAI. Given below are the basic requirements that candidates must meet before filling out the CA Final application form for the May 2026 session. The CFA Final eligibility criteria are as per the norms prescribed in the new ICAI scheme of education and training.

    • Candidate must clear all the papers from Group 1 and Group 2 in one sitting with a minimum score of 40% in each of the papers and 50% in aggregate of all the papers.
    • The candidate should also complete Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) after registration for Intermediate course but before the commencement of Practical Training (PT).
    • It is also mandatory to undergo a practical training (PT) of two years as per Regulation 50 of the Chartered Accountants (Amendment) Regulations, 2023. Earlier this training period was of three years which has been reduced under the new scheme.
    • After completion of the practical training but before appearing for the CA final examination, candidates also have to undergo an Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills( AICITSS) for such duration as specified by the ICAI Council.
    • Candidate needs to complete the self-paced online learning modules with a minimum of 50% marks after completing the CA Intermediate exam but before appearing for the CA Final exam

    CA Final Registration 2026

    Registration of CA Final is open throughout the year. Once a candidate registers for CA final, then registration will remain valid for ten years. After the expiry of ten years, candidates can revalidate the registration for a further period of ten years. It must be noted that there are no cut off dates for CA Final registration. However, candidates must ensure there is a gap of at least six months between the completion of practical training and appearing for the CA Final exam.

    To appear for the exam, candidates also have to fill the CA Final exam form. Candidates who wish to appear in the exam must mandatorily fill the CA Final exam application form. The mode of application would be online.
