CFA Level 3 Exam Aug 2024 - Dates (Out), Registration, Syllabus & Pattern, Result

The Chartered Financial Institute has opened the CFA level 3 registration for February 2025 session on May 9, 2024. Candidates can register from the official website - cfainstitute.org. The last date to register is November 7, 2024. The upcoming CFA level 3 August 2024 exam is scheduled to be conducted from August 16-19, 2024 for which registrations close on May 14, 2024.

Earlier, the institute conducted the CFA level 3 February 2024 exam from 15-18, 2024 and the CFA level 3 result for the same was declared on April 11, 2024. • Constructed response (essay) questions mixed into both exam sessions: In previous CFA exams, the first session focused on all essay sets and the second session was all item sets. Now, each session of CFA Level 3 exam will have either 6 item sets and 5 essay sets or 5 item sets and 6 essay sets.
• Math editor function removed: Earlier, candidates had the option of using the in-built math editor to describe the steps of calculation or show the values of the essay questions. However, this functionality has now been removed as it caused some confusion in the past. A correct value in the numerical box will earn candidates full credit.
• Highlighting function available within vignette: In the next CFA exams, candidates will have the functionality of highlighting pertinent text within a vignette for every question. Previously, the functionality was limited to the question itself, not the supporting vignette.

In addition to this, candidates must follow some essential tips to prepare for CFA Level 3. Given below are few points that candidates must keep in mind while preparing for the CFA Level 3 exam.

• Focus on the changed topic weights. Some topics have zero weightage and are absent from the curriculum. So study the syllabus properly before commencing preparation.

The CFA Institute releases the list of CFA exam centres on its official website. Test centres are the locations/places where the CFA exam will be conducted. For the year 2024, CFA Level 3 exam will be held in more than 400 test locations across the globe. A list of the Indian CFA level 3 exam centres is uploaded in PDF format on its official website by the CFA Institute. The CFA Level 3 is held across 23 test locations in India.
