CA Final Exam Pattern 2019 - The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) shapes the CA Final 2019 exam pattern which has been amended recently, specifically for elective paper, i.e. Paper 6A to 6F making it OMR based. Authorities have released the exam schedule for November 2019 session and exams are to take place between November 1 and 17, 2019. Thus, the exam pattern of CA Final 2019 must be checked so that students can get a clear idea about what to prepare. Important points like the exam mode and medium, type of questions, marking scheme, etc. will be covered in the CA Final exam pattern 2019. The only difference between the old scheme and the revised scheme of CA Final 2019 exam pattern is the subjects covered in Paper 5 and 6. In the old scheme, the two papers are named ‘Advanced Management Accounting’ and ‘Information Systems Control & Audit’ whereas in the revised scheme, they are named as ‘Strategic Cost Management & Performance Evaluation’ and elective papers respectively. Note: ICAI has introduced some changes to the pattern of questions asked in the elective papers 6A to 6F of CA Final (New syllabus) which is to be applicable from November 2019 session. From now on, the question paper will contain 5 questions based on case studies, out of which, they will have to attempt any 4 questions. Each of the 4 questions shall carry 25 marks distributed into 10 marks of MCQs and 15 marks for descriptive question respectively As per the latest announcement, the MCQs will be answered on OMR based sheet, to check ICAI announcement, Click here. November 2020 is the last session for CA Final old syllabus, after which, the new syllabus will take over wholely.
There are 8 subjects for CA Final old scheme. These include- Financial Reporting, Strategic Financial Management, Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics, Corporate and Allied Laws, Advanced Management Accounting, Information Systems Control and Audit, Direct Tax Laws and Indirect Tax Laws.
There is no fixed number of attempts. The registration validity for CA Final is 5 years which is subject to revalidation. Thus, students can take 10 attempts after registration.
ICAI expects students to go through the official study material thoroughly. Students should attempt questions from multiple sources and revision test papers in order to practice well.
