On August 13, 2019, ICAI declared the result of CA Final along with the merit list containing top 50 rank holders. This was followed by ICAI having released the pass percentage and the names of top three candidates. The pass percentage has shown massive fall for this session as compared to the result of previous session.

ICAI declared the result of CA Final November 2018 session (for both old and new schemes) on January 23, 2019. The percentage of candidates who passed the exam is quite impressive for the November session as compared to May session. There is a huge gap of candidates who qualified to become a Chartered Accountant, where the number is high enough in November (13909 and 1060) than in May session (9104 and 139). However, it may be noted that there is a huge gap in total number of candidates appeared as well for both the sessions.
CA Final pass percentage of November 2018 - Old Course
In this session for old course, a total of 90802 candidates had appeared. Out of all, 32633 candidates appeared for Group I and the number was 35655 for Group II. Overall pass percentage turned out to be 30.5% as shown below:

CA Final pass percentage of November 2018 - New Course
In this session, the CA Final pass percentage was 24.2% and 13653 candidates had appeared. A total number of 6181 candidates appeared for the exams in new course of 2018 for Group I and 3307 in Group II.

1060 candidates qualified as Chartered Accountants in this session.
CA Final pass percentage of May 2018 - Old Course
In this session, Group I candidates were 38696 while the number was 37350 for Group II. The ones who appeared for both the groups were 27727. This made a total of 1,03,773 who appeared for the May 2018 session.

CA Final pass percentage of May 2018 - New course
In this session, the CA Final pass percentage was 14.03% wherein 2289 candidates appeared for group I, 1208 appeared for group II and 936 for both the groups.
Pass Percentage of CA Final of May 2018 (New course)
In this session, only 139 candidates could qualify as Chartered Accountants.
The result data for the year 2017 is given below. There is no distribution of new course and old course for each session as is the case of both sessions of 2018. The two sessions of May and November for 2017 provides a glimpse of pass percentage which is quite different as compared to the year 2018.
CA Final pass percentage of November 2017:
For November session of 2017, a total of 1,09,135 candidates had appeared, 39328 candidates appeared for group I and there were 39753 candidates for group II. the number was 30054 for both the groups. CA Final pass percentage- 17.5%.

For this session, 1,14,354 candidates had appeared in total, wherein, 41373 candidates appeared for group I, 38478 candidates for group II and 34503 candidates had appeared for both the groups. Total CA Final pass percentage- 17.38%

ICAI has released the names of toppers for CA Final May 2019 old and new course. There are names of top three rank holders in the list along with their city, marks secured and thus, the percentage obtained in their respective results. Because exams of CA Final old and new course are conducted separately, the result and thus the toppers are declared in a separate list. Top three candidates for May 2019 session are provided below:

The overall pass percentage for May 2019 session of CA Final old course is 22.29% and that of CA Final new course is 26.62%.
As per CA Final Result 2019, a total of 77,557 candidates appeared for old course, which includes those who appeared in individual groups as well as those in both the groups. Out of these, 17,288 passed the exams, individual group or both as well.
The overall pass percentage for new syllabus of CA Final May 2019 comes out to be 26.62%. This includes those who appeared and passed individual groups, appeared and passed both the groups and those who appeared in both but passed any one of the groups respectively.
10816 candidates qualified as a Chartered Accountant in May 2019 passing the old syllabus.
A total of 3369 candidates have qualified to become a CA in May 2019 having passed the new syllabus of CA Final.
