The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will close the ICAI CA January 2026 results verification window for the CA Foundation and Inter levels on April 7, 2026. Along with the verification of results, candidates can also apply to obtain and inspect certified copies of their evaluated answer sheets till the same date. However,iIf any candidate is dissatisfied with their CA Final January 2026 results, they can request verification of their marks in the answer sheets till March 31, 2026. Earlier, the CA Foundation and Inter results were published on March 8, 2026. Candidates can check their results on the official website icai.nic.in. To access the ICAI CA Jan 2026 results, aspirants need to enter their registration and roll numbers. The institute has also published the ICAI pass percentage 2026 and the list of toppers along with the CA Jan 2026 results. As per the CA Foundation Jan 2026 pass percentage, out of 1,09,064 candidates, 21,099 cleared the exam, recording a 19.23% overall pass rate. The CA Inter Jan 2026 Group–I saw 13.96% pass percentage. While the ICAI CA Jan 2026 Group–II Intermediate pass rate was 15.54 per cent, with 18,938 out of 69,477 passing the exam.

The CA course consists of three exams, namely, CA Foundation, CA Intermediate and CA Final. Candidates must clear all three programmes to become a chartered accountant. The exams are now being conducted under the new ICAI scheme, where the candidates are also required to complete some modules and clear the CA exam results. As per a notification by ICAI, the CA Foundation and CA Inter will be held thrice a year. There is no change in the frequency of the CA Final exams.

The minimum marks required by candidates to qualify for the next stage are called the passing criteria. For the Chartered Accountant exams, ICAI has finalised the passing criteria beforehand. All candidates need to secure a minimum of 40% marks in a single subject and 50% in aggregate.

ICAI also released the pass percentage of CA exams after the declaration of the results. The CA pass percentage informs about the number of candidates who appear for the test, the pass percentage in each group and the overall pass percentage. The pass percentage (Number of students passing a level of CA exam in a session) CA Final, Inter and Foundation remains very low due to the difficulty of these exams.

Along with the results, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) also released the merit list of each CA programme. For the Jan 2026 session exams, the merit list of ICAI 2026 will be released in online mode. The merit list mentions the names of the top 50 candidates (rank holders). Candidates will be required to enter their registration number/roll number and the security code to check the ICAI merit list 2026.
