CA Foundation is the entry route towards the course of Chartered Accountancy. A student who is 10+2 pass-out and wishes to become a Chartered Accountant has to register with ICAI board of studies (BoS) by complying with a set of formalities. Exam form for CA Foundation November 2019 session was released by ICAI in online mode on August 16. Submissions could be made till September 12, 2019 without late fee and September 15 with late fee. Candidates have to provide certain personal details along with signature and a recent photograph in the application form. One may note that those candidates whose photograph or signature didn't show in the completed application form had to download the PDF, attach two photographs (in case photograph is missing) or sign at the requisite column (if the candidate's signature is missing) and then send it to ICAI office before September 14 by speed post/ registered post. For the purpose of filling the application form, the candidate had to be priorly registered with the Board of Studies (BoS). Last date to register before filling November 2019 application form was June 30, 2019. For those candidates who made any mistakes while filling the CA Foundation application form 2019 can correct the same through Application correction window, now available till September 18, 2019.

A candidate has to comply with the CA Foundation eligibility criteria as provided below for enrollment into the course and appear in ICAI exam:
Candidates must have passed class 12 from a recognized board of education to be eligible for CA Foundation 2019.
Candidates must have registered for the CA Foundation course with the Board of Studies (Bos) on or before June 30, 2019 for November 2019, or, should have converted to Foundation course with Board of Studies of ICAI on or before September 7, 2019.
Candidates with the following qualifications are exempted from appearing for the CA Foundation November 2019 session:
holds Bachelors/ Masters degree in commerce with at least 55% or Bachelors/ Masters degree in any other stream with at least 60%
qualified the intermediate level of examinations of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) or Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI)
The ICAI registration process goes on whole year, but there is a last date before which, a candidate has to register with the Board of Studies. Last date to register for November 2019 session was June 2019. Candidates who missed this date and are willing to appear for May 2020 session can now register for the same and the last date is December 31, 2019. The CA Foundation registration fee is Rs 9000.
Application fee: The registration fee and application/ exam fee should not be confused with one another. The registration fee is the full course fee amounting to Rs. 9000 which was to be paid before June 30, 2019. The application fee differs according to the exam centres chosen by the candidates. ICAI has released the CA Foundation admit card on the official exam website. The CA Foundation 2019 admit card will be accessible by entering the registration ID and password. The admit card/ hall ticket contains the candidate’s name, roll number, photograph and signature, exam centre, etc. along with important instructions.
