CA Foundation 2020 - ICAI has released the revised schedule of the CA Foundation exam for November 2020 exams. It cancelled the CA Foundation July 2020 session due to coronavirus pandemic. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has issued a notification regarding CA Foundation November 2020 exam giving students information about exam dates, application process and more. The application process for CA Foundation November exam commenced from August 5. The last date to apply for CA Foundation Nov exam was August 25, 2020. Candidates can also apply for the November exam of CA Foundation after the passing of the last date with a payment of a late fee of Rs 600. Only candidates who had registered for the CA foundation course could fill the application form of CA Foundation 2020 for November exam. Result of CA Foundation 2020 November exam will be declared in January 2021. What is CA Foundation?
CA Foundation is the entry-level for Chartered Accountancy Course. A 10+2 passed student can register and appear for the exam which is the first level to become a CA. A minimum of 4 months' study is required to appear for the exam which has 4 subject papers. Students must note that this course is not open to graduate or postgraduates or students who have cleared the Intermediate levels of ICSI or ICMAI.
Steps in CA Foundation Course
- If you have passed class 12, register with Board of Studies (BoS).
- Complete four months study period (i.e. register till 30th June / 31st Dec.)
- Qualify Class XII examination (if not done earlier)
- Appear for Foundation examination in November/May after passing 10+2 Examination.

ICAI released the exam form for CA Foundation November 2020 session on August 5, 2020 in online mode. Form submissions were allowed till the August 25 without late fee and after that with the payment of late fee of Rs 600. Candidates have to provide certain personal details along with signature and a recent photograph in the CA Foundation application form. One may note that those candidates whose photograph or signature doesn't show in the completed CA Foundation application form will have to download the PDF, attach two photographs (in case photograph is missing) or sign at the requisite column (if the candidate's signature is missing) and then send it to ICAI office before stipulated last date by speed post/ registered post. For the purpose of filling the CA Foundation 2020 application form, the candidate has to be priorly registered with the Board of Studies (BoS). For those candidates who made any mistakes while filling the CA Foundation application form 2020 will be given a chance to correct the same through application correction window within due dates.
A candidate has to comply with the CA Foundation eligibility criteria as provided below for enrollment into the course and appear in ICAI exam:
Candidates must have passed class 12 from a recognized board of education to be eligible for CA Foundation 2020.
Candidates must have registered for the CA Foundation November 2020 course with the Board of Studies (Bos) on or before the last date.
CA Foundation 2020: Exemptions
Candidates with the following qualifications are exempted from appearing for the CA Foundation 2020:
Candidate holds Bachelors/ Masters degree in Commerce with at least 55% or Bachelors's/Masters's degree in any other stream with at least 60%.
Candidate has qualified the intermediate level of examinations of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) or Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI).
*Candidate may provisionally register in the Foundation Course on or before 31st August 2020 if he has been either allotted the admit card and/or appeared in one or more papers in the months of February/March 2020 in the Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognised by the Central Government or the State Government as equivalent thereto for the purpose of admission to graduation course
The ICAI registration process goes on the whole year, but there is a last date before which, a candidate has to register with the Board of Studies to be eligible to appear for the upcoming sessions. Last date to register for November 2020 session was August 25, 2020. The CA Foundation registration fee is Rs 9000.
Application fee: The registration fee and application/ exam fee should not be confused with one another as both are different. The registration fee is the full course fee amounting to Rs. 9000 which was to be paid before the last date. The CA Foundation application fee differs according to the exam centres chosen by the candidates. The CA Foundation November 2020 session will be conducted at 209 Indian and 5 international cities. If you have chosen Hindi medium , then question paper will obviously be in Hindi Language. You cannot differ in language for different papers. So, I would suggest you to choose the medium wisely. You can sleect only one for course and question paper will be mentioned in that language only.
How can I download the delecration of student form for November 2020

After filling of the registration form online for ca final new course, whether the form & supporting documents need to be physically submitted at the regional office of ICAI. please clarify.
Now everything is done online through the ICAI portal. So there is no need for physical submission of documents. You have to submit the form on the ssp portal. You need not go to the institute for submitting the documents.
can a government teacher do chartered accountant course?
Yes , it is possible
Govt Employee can take Sabbatical to do CA if granted in which case employee will be paid salary and all perks for upto 3 yrs while doing CA.
Otherwise Employee can do CA Foundation course in their own time and write exam in their own time
