CA Inter Jan 2025 Pass Percentage Drops: Group 1 at 14.17%, Group 2 Sees Improvement

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has announced the CA Inter Jan 2025 results on March 4, 2025. The CA Inter Jan 2025 exams saw a very low pass percentage indicating towards increased difficulty, new ICAI scheme and other factors. Only 14.07% could pass both groups of CA Inter January 2025. The CA Inter Group 1 pass percentage Jan 2025 wasn’t much better either, a mere 14.17%. While the Group 2 of CA Inter recorded a pass percentage of 22.16%, which is better than last many previous attempts. Last 8 Years’ CA Intermediate Pass Percentage Analysis

Studying the pass percentage trends of CA Inter over the years, here are few notable takeaways:

  • The CA Inter Group 1 pass percentage is lower than the September 2024 session and significantly lower to the May 2024 session. This might indicate increased difficulty level in Group 1 under ICAI New Scheme of Education and Training.

  • The CA Inter Group 2 pass percentage showed significant recovery compared to the Sep 2024 session. The CA Inter Group 2 pass percentage increased to 22.16% in January 2025.

  • This CA Inter Jan 2025 results indicate a better evaluation pattern. The results did not show any shocking trends.

  • With three attempts already conducted under ICAI New scheme, the future attempts may see an increased pass percentage for all groups of CA Inter.

  • The CA Inter May 2025 exam is expected to see a higher pass rate. Historically, the May sessions of CA Inter have recorded a higher pass rate compared to the other sessions.
