ICAI CA May 2026 exam forms can be submitted without a late fee until around March 14, and with a late fee of Rs 600 until March 17 (tentative). ICAI also provides candidates a correction facility of three days after form submission to update any exam details. The admit cards are then released online about two weeks before the exams, around the third week of April 2026. The CA examination is a combination of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and descriptive answers. Each paper is 100 marks and has a duration of three hours. Out of 100 questions, 30% are MCQs, and 70% are descriptive, and there is no negative marking.
For ICAI exams, candidates need to score at least 40% in each paper and a minimum of 50% in the aggregate to pass a group. In the case where one gets 60% or above in any paper, he/she shall be exempted from the same paper for three consecutive attempts.
Exam forms will open in March 2026. It can be submitted until mid-March without late fees, and the late fees window extends for a few more days. A correction facility will be available for three days after the deadline for submitting exam forms. Students must submit the exam forms on the ICAI online portal and confirm their exam centre, group, and medium.
The CA admit card is released two weeks before the exam date in April 2026. Students must download the admit card from the official ICAI website by logging into their account. The results for May 2026 are usually declared 45 days after the last paper has been conducted, expected in June 2026. Students can check the result online using their roll number and PIN. Candidates who pass can move to the next level exam or the professional stage.
