    The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) is currently accepting CMA Foundation registration for the December 2026 session. II has extended the last date to complete CMA Foundation registration to June 2026 through a notification. Applicants who have passed class 12 can appear for the CMA Foundation exam. Candidates planning to appear for the Dec 2026 session of the CMA exam should complete the CMA online registration for Foundation by July 31, 2026, to be eligible to take the exams.

    The CMA Foundation 2026 registration fee is Rs. 6,000, which can be paid in either online or postal mode. Candidates should check the eligibility criteria before registering themselves.     CMA Foundation Eligibility Criteria 2026

    The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) prescribes official eligibility criteria of CMA Foundation exam on its official website. Before registering themselves, candidates should check the eligibility requirements. Candidates failing to meet the following CMA Foundation 2026 eligibility criteria will not be considered by ICMAI for the exam-

    • Candidates should have passed class 10 or equivalent exam from a recognized board or institution

    • Candidates should have passed the Senior Secondary Examination under the 10+2 scheme of a recognized board or examination recognized by the central government or have passed the National Diploma in commerce examination conducted by AICTE or any State Board of Technical Education under All India Council, or the Diploma in Rural Service examination conducted by the National Council of Higher Education.

    • Incumbents who are waiting for their final results are also eligible to apply for provisional admission in CMA Foundation exam

    CMA Foundation Cutoff Dates

    ICMAI keeps the CMA Foundation registration open throughout the year. Candidates who want to enrol for the CMA Foundation course should keep the registration cutoff dates in mind before applying.

    Cutoff Dates

    For June term examination

    January 31 of the same calendar year

    For December term examination

    July 31 of the same calendar year

    Steps to Apply: CMA Foundation Registration 2026

    Given below steps can be followed by candidates to fill the CMA Foundation application form 2026

    Step 1 - Go to the official website of ICMAI - icmai.in - Once on the official website of ICMAI, click on the link “Students” tab visible on the menubar.

    Step 2 - Once on the student's website of ICMAI; proceed for the filling the application form - Now click on the link “Admission” visible on the menu bar. You will be redirected to the admission page.

    Step 3 - Once on the admission page, select the option “Online admission” visible on the left side of the admission page.

    Step 4 - You will be redirected on the online application page. Click on the link “Apply for Foundation Course” as visible in the given image. Currently, applications for CMA Foundation June 2026 exam are open.

    Step 5 - Generate OTP by entering the required information such as highest qualification, registration type, coaching type, email ID etc., for CMA Foundation 2026 registration.

    Step 6 - Login using the CMA Foundation login credentials and proceed to fill your CMA Foundation application form 2026. Enter details such as your name, parent’s name, gender, address details, date of birth, qualification details, etc. Verify the information and click on ‘Save and Next’

    Step 7 - Upload the required documents - In the next steps, you are required to upload the required documents according to the specifications mentioned by ICMAI. Documents that are to be submitted include Identity proof, age proof, Class 10 mark sheet, and Class 12 mark sheet.

    Step 8 - Complete the payment process - Once done with all the above steps, complete the registration process by making the payment. The fees have to be paid according to the coaching type (oral or postal) selected by you. Once the CMA Foundation registration fee is paid successfully, a confirmation receipt will be generated. It is advisable to keep a copy of the receipt for future reference.

    Once the application date is over, ICMAI will release the CMA Foundation exam form for the December 2026 session. Interested candidates have to fill out the exam form before appearing in the CMA Foundation December exam. Registered candidates can begin their preparation using the CMA Foundation study material 2026 and previous year question papers.

    CMA Foundation Admit Card 2026

    Once the exam form window closes, ICMAI will release the CMA Foundation 2026 admit card in online mode. It will be mandatory for all candidates to download and carry the admit card on the exam day. Entry into the exam hall without a CMA Foundation admit card is strictly prohibited.

    if i fail in CMA Foundation Exam, and i have to attempt again for exam. Does i have to register again or i have pay registration fees again? or Just i have to pay for Examination form?
