The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will declare the CA Foundation and Intermediate Jan 2026 results on March 8, 2026. They will also release the pass percentage along with the results. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check the CA Foundation and Inter results 2026 on the official website at icai.nic.in/caresult/. The passing criteria for the CA Foundation and Intermediate January 2026 exam is minimum 40% marks in each subject and an aggregate of 50% in all papers. The expected pass rate for the CA Foundation January 2026 is projected to be between 16% and 20%. In the previous session held in September 2025, the pass rate was 14.78%, with 14,609 out of 98,827 candidates successfully passing.

CA Foundation Jan 2026 Passing Marks

There are four exams under the CA Foundation Jan 2026 exam. Each exam is for 100 marks. Candidates require 40 marks out of 100 in each of the four subjects to pass the exam. Overall, the total for the CA Foundation 2026 exam must be 50%, which is 200 marks out of 400.

CA Intermediate Jan 2026 Passing Marks

There are two groups under the CA Intermediate Jan 2026 exam. Each group consists of three exams carrying 100 marks each. As per the passing criteria by ICAI, candidates require a minimum of 40 marks out of 100 in each subject to pass the CA Inter Jan 2026 exam. Moreover, the total marks should account for 150 marks out of 300 in each group to clear the exam.

CA Foundation and Inter Jan 2026 Pass Percentage

ICAI will release the pass percentage with the results. The CA exam is one of the most challenging exams. The CA Foundation pass percentage has not been recorded above above 40% in the last five years. This indicates the difficulty level. Similarly, in the last session of the CA Inter exam, the lowest pass rate was 9.43% in Group 1 and 27.14% in Group 2.
