Earlier, the ICAI decided to postpone the CA May 2025 exams scheduled between May 9 and May 14, 2025 due to the rising national security concerns following the recent terror attack. Shortly after this, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced the revised CA May 2025 exam dates for Inter and Final on its official website.

Now it is highly unlikely that ICAI will again postpone the CA Inter and Final May 2025 exam. As the situation between India and Pakistan has de-escalated now. Therefore, no, the exams will not be postponed.

Candidates scheduled to appear for the CA Intermediate and the CA Final exams are advised to continue their preparations diligently and refrain from paying attention to rumours or unverified information related to the ICAI CA May 2025 exam schedule.

The revised ICAI CA May 2025 examination schedule includes the CA Final exam dates (Group II) Paper 5 on May 16, Paper 6 on May 18, while the CA Intermediate exam dates (Group II) Papers 4, 5, and 6 will now be conducted on May 20, 22, and 24, 2025 respectively. The exams will proceed as scheduled, even if the exam day is declared a public or local holiday.

Will ICAI also postpone the CA Foundation May 2025 exams?

No, ICAI will not postpone the CA Foundation exam dates for the May 2025 session. As there was no specific mention regarding the rescheduling of the CA Foundation exam in the official notification, it is thus presumed to remain unchanged. The CA Foundation exams will be conducted as per schedule on May 15, 17, 19 and 21, 2025.

CA May 2025 Exam Day Guidelines: What to Do and Avoid

The following points list the do's and don'ts for the CA May 2025 exam day. Aspirants planning to appear for the CA exams must make sure they're fully prepared:

CA May 2025 Exam: Do’s

1. Students must bring their stationery, as borrowing/lending/exchanging of the same in the examination hall is strictly prohibited.

2. Follow the invigilator's instructions.

3. Check the reporting time on their admit cards and reach the centre at the given time only to avoid any crowding.

4. Stay calm and focused.

5. Make sure to carry the admit card, ID proof, and other essentials.

CA May 2025 Exam: Don'ts

1. Neglecting instructions given by the invigilators in the exam hall.

2. Any kind of electronic devices like mobile phones, smartwatches, bluetooth earphones, etc, are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.

3. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam centre until the end of the exam

4. Do not write on the exam question paper.

5. Discussing answers with other students during the exam
