ICAI launches SPMT portal for May 2025 session, exams on daily basis
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has launched the Self Paced Module Test (SPMT) portal for the upcoming May 2025 exams. Candidates can register for the ICAI SPMT exam at spmt.icai.org. It must be noted that it is mandatory for CA Final exam students to pass in the SPMT exam to become a Chartered Accountant. The ICAI SPMT exam for CA Final students will be conducted at 269 exam centres in India and seven centres abroad. There are total 4 sets of ICAI SPOMs. The Set A and Set B of ICAI SPOM are mandatory for every student appearing in their CA Final exams, while for Set C and Set D, candidates can choose one course of their choice.
To be eligible to take the SPMT exam, it is mandatory that candidates complete the learning hours of the Self Paced Online Modules. The ICAI Self Paced Module Test May 2025 is being conducted on a daily basis, except for government holidays. Candidates will be able to check the ICAI SPMT answer keys for all four sets - Set A, Set B, Set C and Set D on the ICAI LMS portal at lms.icai.org. ICAI SPMT May 2025 Eligibility Criteria
The detailed eligibility criteria for ICAI SPMT May 2025 has been given below:
Candidates must have passed both the groups of CA Intermediate exam.
Candidates must also have registered for the CA Final exam to be eligible to take the SPMT.
Candidates must also have completed specified e-learning hours through the ICAI SPOM portal.
How to register for the SPMT exam?
Candidates can register for the SPMT exam by following the below given steps:
Log on to the SPMT exam portal - spmt.icai.org.
Enter your SSP login details in the given boxes. Alternatively, candidates can also sign in with OTP.
Once logged in, candidates must click on the “Register for SPMT” option and start filling all the required details.
Candidates must also fill their exam centre preferences for taking the exam.
The final step of SPMT registration is payment of the exam fee.
Pay the prescribed exam fee in online mode of payment.
