JAIIB stands for Junior Associate of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance. The JAIIB course is a flagship course offered by the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF). IIBF has already announced the JAIIB 2026 exam dates on its website. The JAIIIB exam is conducted two times in a year. The JAIIB May 2026 exams are expected to be held from the first week of May 2026. The JAIIB exam 2026 has four subjects - Indian Economy & Indian Financial System, Principles & Practices of Banking, Accounting & Financial Management for Bankers and Retail Banking & Wealth Management. Candidates who are members of IIBF are eligible to take the JAIIB 2026 exam. Furthermore, candidates must also be class 12 passed to be eligible for the exam. Candidates must score minimum 50% marks in each subject to be deemed passed in the JAIIB exam.

Candidates planning to take the JAIIB exam must fulfill the eligibility criteria specified by the authorities. JAIIB Eligiblity Criteria 2026

  • Candidate must be a member of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF).

  • Candidates must have completed their class 12 exam or equivalent from any discipline.

  • Candidates from clerical or supervisory staff cadre of banks who have not passed class 12, they can be allowed to give the exam on on the recommendation of the Manager of the bank/ officer-in-charge of the bank’s office where the candidate is working.

Candidates willing to take the exam must complete the JAIIB 2026 exam registration. The JAIIB May 2026 registration window will open from February 2026. The JAIIB exam application form May 2026 can be filled online at iibf.org.in. In case students are unable to fill the application forms before prescribed date, they will be able to complete their registrations with a late fee. Candidates must first hold an IIBF membership.
