Detailed US CMA Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for US CMA and Indian CMA must be fulfilled, along with other registration and examination requirements set by the relevant governing body.

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent professional certification.

  • Have two continuous years of professional experience in management accounting or financial management. This can be completed either before or within seven years after passing the exams.

  • Enrol as a member of the IMA.

CMA USA Exam Registration

The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) conducts the CMA USA exam throughout the year. Candidates planning to apply must purchase the IMA membership and pay the US CMA entrance fee.
