The US Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a professional certification in the field of management accounting awarded by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). The CMA role is highly regarded for professionals seeking careers in management accounting, financial management, and related fields. Candidates interested in the US CMA course can register on the official website and need to pay the US CMA entrance exam fee and purchase an IMA membership. The IMA has prescribed the US CMA 2025 exam fees, which are divided into three main components, i.e., CMA entrance fee, exam fee, and membership.
The US CMA fees differ for professional members and student/academic members, with professionals required to pay a slightly higher amount. It should also be noted that having an IMA membership is mandatory. The certified CMAs must pay a $30 annual renewal fee and are required to report 30 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) each year. The detailed US CMA exam fee for both categories are discussed in the article below:
CMA Fee Type | Professional Members | Student/Academic Members |
US CMA entrance exam fee | $300 | $225 |
US CMA exam fee | $495 | $370 |
IMA membership | $295* | $49/$160* |
In Indian rupees, the total cost of the US CMA entrance and exam fee, excluding IMA membership, typically ranges from Rs 50,720 to Rs 67,700, depending on current exchange rates. The detailed components of this fee structure are given below.
The primary US CMA membership fee is an essential part of the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification process. To be eligible to take the CMA exams and maintain certification, candidates must be members of the IMA.
Before registering for the CMA exam, candidates must pay the entrance fee. For this cost, you have access to the whole CMA program and all of its resources, including the CMA exam package, online study materials, and the IMA's unparalleled network.
After the entrance fees, aspirants have to begin CMA exams preparations. The CMA test is conducted in two parts. Every candidate must be familiar with the US CMA exam pattern. The US CMA exam fee for professional members is around Rs 42,000 plus GST. As for the student category, the CMA USA exam is Rs 31,500 plus GST.
