    About CSEET 2026

    The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) announced the results of the CSEET November 2025 session today, November 20, 2025, before 2:00 PM. The‌ ‌CSEET Nov 2025 exam was conducted in remote proctored mode. However, due to technical issues, an additional test was held on November 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM for candidates who could not appear on the original exam day. Candidates who appeared in either of these sessions can now download their results from the official website, icsi.edu, using their application number and date of birth. The CSEET scorecard 2025 includes details such as the candidate’s name, qualifying status, subject-wise breakup of marks, and overall marks obtained. ICSI currently conducts the CSEET exam four times a year - January, May, July, and November. However, ICSI has announced that from the June 2026 session onwards, the CSEET will be held three times a year, in February, June, and October, under a new revised exam pattern. Candidates planning to pursue the Company Secretary course, must keep in mind the dates before starting their preparation.

    CSEET 2025 exam has four papers: Business Communication (50 marks), Legal Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude (50 marks), Economic & Business Environment (50 marks) and Current Affairs, Presentation and Communication Skills (30 marks). Candidates who qualify the CSEET Nov 2025 are eligible to register for the CS Executive Programme. From June 2026 onwards, CSEET will be conducted offline as a centre-based pen-and-paper exam over four days, with each subject being tested on separate days. Each paper will have a maximum of 100 marks: Business Communication, Fundamentals of Accounting, Economic and Business Environment (all subjective, 3 hours each), and Business Laws and Management (OMR-based, 2 hours, with 60 marks for Business Laws and 40 for Business Management). Importantly, there will be no negative marking in the OMR-based paper.

    CSEET 2025 Exam Details:

    • CSEET 2025 exams are conducted four times a year, in Remote Proctored Mode
    • Candidates who have already qualified in CS Foundation or ICAI CA Final course or ICMAI CMA Final course are exempted from appearing for CSEET
    • The result indicates the qualifying status of each candidate and will be valid for one year from its declaration

    About CSEET exam

    CSEET is an entrance exam conducted by ICSI, four times a year: January, May, July, and November. As per the CSEET eligibility criteria, to take the CSEET 2025 exam, the candidate needs to have passed the 10+2 exam. The CSEET has replaced the CS Foundation course; candidates who qualify for the exam are eligible for direct admission to the CS Executive course which is the second stage of the CS programme.

    CSEET 2025 qualifying marks

    To qualify (pass) CSEET 2025, the candidate needs to secure a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in aggregate. Such candidates who pass the CSEET 2025 exam are eligible for registration to the CS Executive Programme. The CS executive programme is administered through correspondence/distance learning mode and is of 9 months duration.  The option of attending classroom teaching facilities organized by the Institute will be available in select locations only, for which candidates will have to pay an additional fee.

    CSEET 2025 Exam Instructions

    ICSI has published the CSEET Jan 2025 exam instructions on its official website. Candidates cannot indulge in any of the following activities during the CSEET exam.

    • Use of mobile phones or electronic gadgets such as headphone, smartwatch etc.
    • Using study material whether printed or hand writteno
    • Seeking help from a third person during the exam
    • Tampering with camera, computer screen, mic, safe examination browser.
    • Taking photograph or capturing video of the question screen
    • Leaving examination seat during the test (candidate should be visible in camera of the computer used for the exam at all times)
    • Engage in verbal or non-verbal communication and reading questions aloud.

    CSEET Important Dates

    CSEET CS Executive Entrance Test (session 2026)

    ICSI announced the CSEET Nov 2025 results on November 20, 2025. The CSEET results are made available online, on the official website of the institute. Candidates can enter their registration number to log in and check the CSEET 2025 result. The qualifying status of the students is mentioned in the result of CSEET 2025 along with the marks obtained in the entrance test. Only candidates declared as pass can pursue the CS Executive course

    • Enter your registration number and date of birth.
    • The result will be displayed on the screen. 
    • Download and take a printout of the result.

    The validity of the CSEET exam result is one year and candidates must register for the executive program within that period failing which the CSEET 2025 result will be invalidated and the candidates may have to appear in the exam again.

    CSEET Pass Percentage 2025

    ICSI releases the pass percentage for each session along with the results. According to the CSEET Pass Percentage for the previous sessions, 60-70% students clear the exam each session. As per the ICSI passing criteria, candidates should secure a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and an aggregate of 50% overall.

    ICSI has released the CSEET 2026 eligibility criteria on its official website. Candidates willing to take the exam need to fulfill the eligibility requirements. The following CSEET Eligibility 2026 conditions need to be fulfilled:

    • Only an Indian National can apply
    • Candidate appearing in Senior Secondary examination (10+2 exam) or equivalent examination
    • Candidate who has passed the Senior secondary examination (10+2 exam) or equivalent examination

    Note- Graduates/ postgraduates who could directly enter the CS Executive programme will now have to compulsorily pass the CSEET 2026.

    Only the following categories of students can be exempted from CSEET 2026:

    • Candidates who have qualified CS Foundation exam - Without any exemption fee
    • Candidates who have passed CA Final (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) - Have to pay Rs 5000 as exemption fee during CS Executive registration
    • Candidates who have passed CMA Final (The Institute of Company Secretaries of India) - Have to pay Rs 5000 as exemption fee while registering for CS Executive.

    ICSI has started the registrations for the CSEET Jan 2026 on October 16, 2025. Candidates can register for the CSEET 2025 session till December 15, 2025.  

    To fill out the application form of CSEET 2026, candidates must register, fill in the details, upload documents and pay the fee. The list of documents to upload with the application form is given here. The steps to register and fill out the CSEET application form 2026 are also given in this section.

    • DOB Certificate (10th pass certificate)
    • Admit Card/ Hall Ticket for 10+2 Examinations (if appearing) or 10+2 Pass Certificate/ Mark Sheet (if already passed)
    • Category Certificate (if applicable)
    • Identity proof (Aadhar card/passport/voter ID /pan card/driving license/ration card)

    How to fill CSEET 2025 Application Form?

    Step 1 : Registration: Click on the link given above
    Step 2: Fill in basic personal, and address details and enter one exam centre as per preference from the list given Submit and note the unique registration ID generated
    Step 3: Fee payable comes up on the screen. If the amount is correct, save and move to the next step
    Step 4: Upload mandatory documents as specified above and submit the same
    Step 5: Preview application. Check all details are correct and confirm the application form
    Step 6: Select payment mode and pay the fees. Note the transaction ID for future reference

    On successful payment, the CSEET 2026 is confirmed and intimated through email/SMS on the registered email id/mobile number. A CSEET exam schedule is sent through email/SMS.

    ICSI conducted the CSEET Nov 2025 mock tests on November 4 and 6, 2025, in online mode. It is mandatory for registered candidates to appear for CSEET 2025 mock test. 

    The CSEET mock test is for two-hour time duration. The details related to the batch timings, user Id and password for the CSEET mock test are communicated by E-Mail / SMS separately to the candidates. Candidates are instructed to log-in 30 minutes prior to the stipulated time.

    ICSI issued the CSEET Nov 2025 admit card from 29th October 2025 onwards. The CSEET admit cards are available for all registered candidates. The admit card can be downloaded by the candidates using their registration number (unique ID) and date of birth. All candidates must download the CSEET admit card 2025 before appearing in the exam. 

    How to download CSEET admit card 2025

    Step 1 - Go to the official website of ICSI and click on CSEET admit card link

    Step 2 - Enter your login details - CSEET registration number and date of birth

    Step 3 - CSEET admit card will appear on the screen

    Step 4 - Download and save it for future reference

    Step 5 - Get a hard copy of CSEET admit card before appearing for the exam

    ICSI has announced a minimum qualifying mark for CSEET exam 2025. This is the CS Executive Entrance Test cutoff that candidates must obtain if they wish to pursue the course. The CSEET 2025 qualifying cutoff is mentioned below

    • Candidates must obtain a minimum of 40 % marks in each paper
    • They must also obtain a minimum of 50% in aggregate.

    Candidates who secure the qualifying cutoff of CSEET 2025 will be declared as "Pass" in the entrance exam.

    Q: In what mode will CSEET be conducted?
    A:

    From the June 2026 session onwards, the CSEET will be held three times a year, in February, June, and October, under a new revised exam pattern.

    Q: Why is ICSI conducting CSEET?
    A:

    CS Executive Entrance Test is introduced by ICSI as entry-level exam for students willing to pursue a Company Secretary course.

    Q: Is CSEET mandatory for all?
    A:

    Yes, from now on, every student entering the CS course will have to pass CSEET and then register for CS Executive. Only students who have passed CS Foundation, CA Final and CMA Final are exempted from passing CSEET.

    Q: Is my CS Foundation registration invalid?
    A:

    No, candidates whose CS Foundation registration validity is due can appear the exams under old CS Foundation programme until the validity period expires.

    Q: Who is exempted from CSEET?
    A:

    Students who have already passed CS Foundation Programme,  ICAI (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) Final Course passed students and ICMAI (The Institute of Cost Accountants of India) Final Course passed students are exempted from appearing for CSEET.

    Q: Will ICSI discontinue CS Foundation and replace it with CSEET?
    A:

    Yes, ICSI has discontinued CS Foundation programme for new candidates and CSEET is the entry level exam now. However, students who have already registered for CA Foundation will be able to appear for the exam till their validity of registration lasts.

    Q: Is there any negative marking for wrong responses in CSEET?
    A:

    No, there is no negative marking in CSEET.
