The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially released the admit cards for the CA Intermediate and CA Final exams scheduled for January 2026. The CA Intermediate exam 2026 Group 1 is scheduled on January 6, 8, 10, 2026, and Group 2 on January 12, 15, 17, 2026. The CA Final Exam 2026 Group 1 is going to be conducted on January 5, 7, 9, 2026 and Group 2 on January 11, 13, 16, 2026. These exams are important for aspiring Chartered Accountants in India, and it is essential to follow the ICAI’s exam day guidelines, especially on the day of the exam. Access to the examination hall is strictly regulated, and candidates who do not have the necessary documentation are not permitted entry to the exam hall. This article discusses the essential items to carry in the CA exam hall and what not to bring to the exam centre.
Candidates must closely follow the guidelines for the CA 2026 exam to avoid any delays or disqualification from the exam. The general guidelines are mentioned below.
On exam day, all candidates must bring their physical copy of the CA 2026 exam admit card, ID proof, and any other essentials required.
Candidates are advised to reach the examination centre well in advance, as entry to the exam hall is generally closed 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
Students need to bring their own stationery, as borrowing, lending, or exchanging items in the exam hall is not allowed.
Candidates should double-check the reporting time on their admit cards and make sure to arrive at the center right on time to avoid any unnecessary crowding.
Once the exam starts, candidates are not permitted to leave the exam center until the exam is over.
Candidates can carry only limited items to the exam hall. Any prohibited item can lead to disqualification from the exam or cause delays, leading to less time given to complete the exam. Students must cross-check the items to carry to the CA 2026 exam hall with the list mentioned below.

Original valid photo ID proof such as Aadhaar Card, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID or Driving Licence
