ACET 2020 - The Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) is conducted thrice a year by the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) for candidates interested in pursuing the course of actuarial sciences. The ACET 2020 is going to be conducted on February 29 in online mode at respective examination centres. Registrations for ACET February 2020 started on December 5, 2019 and the last date to apply for the same was February 7, 2020. Successfully registered candidates will be able to download their admit cards from February 15 and the ACET result will be announced on March 7, 2020. There are 5 sections for ACET exam, majorly Mathematics and statistics, which have to be prepared for the exam. What is ACET?

ACET stands for Actuarial Common Entrance Test which is the entrance examination for the course of actuarial sciences. Candidates who qualify ACET become eligible to apply for student membership of IAI and pursue the course. It's a must to pass the ACET exam with at least 50% marks in order to pursue the course of actuarial sciences under IAI.

ACET Registration 2020

The Institute started registration for ACET February 2020 session on December 5, 2019 in online mode. The last date for registration was January 28 before which, candidates had to register in order to appear for ACET exam. Candidates have to provide certain details during the process of registration which includes personal as well as academic details. The last step of ACET registration is payment of fee as shown in the table below:

ACET Application Fee

Candidates who are interested in pursuing actuarial sciences have to first appear for ACET exam, for which, they have to pay Rs 3,000 as registration fee. The same can only be paid in online mode that includes net banking, debit card and credit card payments, etc. Candidates may note that the above-mentioned amount includes the cost of a sample paper and it’s indicative solution as well.


ACET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The concerned authorities of IAI have provided the eligibility criterion for actuarial entrance that has to be complied with by candidates in order to apply for membership and pursue the course after having cracked the ACET 2020 exam. Candidates who qualify the ACET 2020 are deemed eligible to apply for IAI student membership. But it may be noted that such students will be able to pursue further only if they produce attested copies of valid documents, which will also be subject to verification.

ACET Admit Card 2020

The authorities will release ACET admit cards for February 2020 session on February 15 in online mode which has to be downloaded, taken print of and then be brought in at the exam centre on the day of exam, i.e. February 29, 2020. The ACET admit card will be available online on the official website of IAI only, so, given below are the steps to download the same.

Candidates have to follow a series of steps as mentioned below for downloading the ACET Admit Card:

  1. Visit the official website of ACET at actuariesindia.org.

  2. Now click on ACET leads to the page of Actuarial Common Entrance Test.

  3. Now hit on ‘Click here’ for already registered students of ACET.

  4. Enter your email ID and password and then sign in.

  5. Now click to download ACET February 2020 Admit Card

ACET 2020 Exam Centres

There are fixed examination centres for actuarial entrance, where the ACET 2020 is conducted in online mode. The ACET exam is conducted in 24 cities across India and those candidates who wish to appear from overseas have to make requests separately in this regard. The ACET exam centre is allotted to candidates as per the options selected at the time of ACET registration. The same reflects in the ACET admit card to be released on February 12, 2020 in online mode.

ACET Exam Pattern 2020

The authorities of IAI have announced the exam pattern for ACET February 2020, which will be conducted in online mode on the stipulated date of exam. The exam is conducted in one sitting for 3 hours wherein, candidates are asked 70 questions with different weightage. Since July 2019, IAI has ended the provision of negative marking for ACET exam. Marking Scheme for ACET 2020

The officials have provided the marking scheme for ACET in a clear manner for candidates of upcoming session. As there are questions with 3 types of weightage, candiates have to prepare and then attempt the ACET 2020 exam accordingly. Refer the table below for ACET 2020 marking scheme:

ACET Syllabus 2020

There are five subjects to be covered for ACET 2020, wherein candidates have to deal with

  • Mathematics,

  • Statistics,

  • English,

  • Data Interpretation, and

  • Logical Reasoning.

The authorities have provided with the topics to be prepared under all these 5 heads which hold different weightage accordingly. Maximum weightage is held by Mathematics, while the section of Logical Reasoning holds the least of 10 marks.

ACET Study Material 2020

Candidates who are planning to appear for ACET 2020 have to prepare for the exam with the help of relevant study material for ACET exam. It can be previous year/ session’s question papers, books, etc. that can help the prospective candidates. It may be noted that the ACET 2020 registered candidates will be provided with sample paper and it’s corresponding solution by the officials. ACET Exam Passing Criteria

Candidates will be required to login using their email ID and password which will lead to candidate result. The result is also shared in the form of a merit list that contains names of candidates who qualify the ACET exam 2020.

Process after ACET 2020 Result

After declaration of ACET February result, some of the candidates will qualify the exam, while some others will face failure as well. How is AEC when compared to ACET and ACOE?

Hello aspirant, if you meant the codes were engineering colleges of aditya group in Andhra pradesh, I prefer AEC as it is autonomous college and it has higher standards than all the other colleges, the order is ACET and finally ACOE. The infrastcture is same for all these colleges, but the faculty change for the 3 colleges, you must always opt for the best one -AEC.

The Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) has announced the schedule for February session of ACET 2020. Registrations for the same started on December 5 (3 P.M.) and the last date to register is January 28, 2020. The ACET exam fro February 2020 session will be conducted on February 29 and admit cards for the same will be released on February 12, 2020.
