ACET Exam Passing Criteria 2019 - For students who want to pursue a career in actuarial sciences, it is crucial to meet the ACET Exam exam passing criteria and the requisite ACET cut off. The Actuarial Common Entrance Test or ACET 2019 was conducted by Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) on September 14, 2019 and is the qualifying examination for students who want to obtain membership and student status with IAI. The ACET exam passing criteria 2019 is similar to past years’ passing criteria and involves a cut off of 50% of the maximum marks for the examination. Students can determine their qualifying status for the exam after the ACET 2019 result declaration.

ACET Result 2019

The result for ACET 2019 September session has been declared on September 21, which was earlier scheduled for October 3, 2019. Prospective candidates must view the ACET 2019 result in order to determine whether they meet the ACET 2019 exam passing criteria. As the exam carries a maximum marks of 100, the ACET exam passing criteria 2019 is 50% of the maximum marks and therefore is equivalent to 50 marks. The 50 mark point is also referred to as the ACET 2019 cut off and qualifying candidates need to obtain marks above the cut off in order to be eligible for membership and student status with the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI).

Along with the ACET 2019 result, the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) also releases a list of the students who have scored the highest marks in the exam as well as a list of students who are eligible for the fellowship program which is yet to be released. These students meet the ACET exam passing criteria 2019 and are required to register for IAI membership.

After Meeting the ACET Cut off 2019

Candidates who meet the exam passing criteria and clear the requisite ACET cut off 2019 of 50 marks are required to undergo the registration process for the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI). Subsequent to successful registration, candidates will be granted membership as well as student status with IAI after which they will be able to sit for other actuarial exams conducted by IAI. These actuarial exams provide professional attestations and qualifications for individuals who want to pursue a career in the actuarial sciences and are of 4 different types of both theoretical and practical nature, which are:

  • Stage 1: Core Technical (CT)

  • Stage 2: Core Application (CA)

  • Stage 3: Specialist Technical (ST)

  • Stage 4: Specialist Application (SA)

In order to register for membership with Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI), candidates need to fill out the membership form and also provide the official document proof for ACET 2019 eligibility. The ACET eligibility 2019 requirement is that candidates should have completed their senior secondary or 10+2 standard examinations from a recognized state or central board in India. It is a national-level examination, therefore only Indian graduates are permitted to appear for ACET 2019. After qualifying and meeting the ACET exam passing criteria 2019, candidates need to provide official documentation and proof from their senior secondary board examinations for verification.

ACET 2019 Result Validity

The ACET result 2019 is valid for 3 years from the date of ACET 2019 result declaration. This means that candidates who meet the ACET 2019 cut off and exam passing criteria can register for Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) membership for up to three years after the date of result declaration. In case the student does not apply or register for membership with the Institute of Actuaries of India, then he or she will have to appear for ACET again.
