ICSI Exam 2019- The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India conducts the ICSI CS Exam twice a year, in June and December. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) conducts examinations for aspirants who wish to pursue the course of Company Secretaryship. Candidates have to register with the Institute and appear in a series of examinations and a practical training as well in order to earn the tag of CS. The first level is CS Foundation where there are 4 papers, followed by CS Executive having 2 modules with 4 papers in each. Having passed in both the modules, candidates can enroll into Professional program. Here, one has to pass in three modules (9 papers). Completion of practical training leads to eligibility to apply for ICSI membership.

There is a specific eligibility criteria for ICSI exams 2019, which the candidates have to assure before registration or before appearing in the ICSI exam. The authorities have reiterated different eligibility for all three ICSI CS programmes. Thus, candidates may refer to the tables below for a clearer picture on whether they’re eligible to register and appear for the ICSI exams 2019.
CS Foundation Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed 10+2 or any equivalent examination from a recognized board or University.
Candidates must have registered before March 31, 2019 to attempt the CS Foundation
Candidates can register as soon as they receive their admit cards of class 12 examination and also while they wait for the results. Proof of passing the examination must be provided to ICSI before six months of provisional registration.
There is no limit on the basis of age and marks secured in class 12 board exams
CS Executive Eligibility Criteria
Graduates from a recognized university (from any stream except Fine Arts)
Registered as students up to and including the month of February 2019 are eligible to appear in both modules of the Executive Programme examination to be held in December in the same year. However, a candidate registered up to and including the month of May 2019 will be eligible for appearing in any one module in the December examination.
Candidates must have undergone a course of postal or oral tuition for the module(s) they intend to appear for in the CS Executive examination.
Must have successfully completed Student Induction Programme (SIP).
Must have successfully completed computer training programme as may be specified from time to time by the Council.
For students through Foundation programme
Must have passed the ICSI CPT or Foundation examination.
CS Professional Eligibility Criteria
Must have passed the CS Executive examination with at least 40% of the total marks section-wise and 50% overall.
Must have registered before February 28 for appearing in all modules
Must have registered before May 31 for appearing in any one of the modules
In order to pursue the course of Company Secretaryship, aspirants have to register with the Institute. A candidate has to provide requisite information and supporting documents as required while registering with ICSI. The process of registration is open all year, but there is a cutoff date for each session before which, one should have registered with ICSI. Candidates should have done CS Foundation registration at least before March 31, 2019 for appearing in ICSI Exams December 2019. It may be noted that only eligible candidates who duly register with ICSI are able to fill the ICSI exam form and appear in ICSI exams.
Those candidates who have qualified the CS Foundation exams, or is a graduate, etc. and is eligible for direct entry into CS Executive has to proceed with CS Executive registration. Candidates had to register into CS Executive course before February 28, 2019 for appearing in all modules. For those who wished to appear in any one of the modules could register before May 31, 2019.
Those who have qualified in both the modules of CS Executive are eligible for CS Professional registration. Candidates The cutoff dates for registration are the same as that of Executive, i.e. March 31 for all modules and May 31 for any one of the modules.
The CS exam forms are released for a session within a few days of declaration of ICSI Result for the session that precedes. Freshly registered candidates had to fill the CS Foundation exam form online before September 25 without late fee and before October 10 with late fee for December 2019 session. It may be noted that the dates are fixed and apply for CS Executive exam form as well as that of CS Professional exam form respectively. Candidates have to pay the requisite fee as well while filling the ICSI exam form, which is different with and without late fee, as shown below:

The concerned authorities are expected to release the CS admit cards in online mode. Candidates have to download the same from the official website for all the programmes. The CS Foundation admit card contains candidate details, subject papers and their corresponding exam dates, etc. Candidates need to follow a series of steps as provided below:
Visit the official website of ICSI at icsi.indiaeducation.net for downloading the CS admit card.
Enter your unique, 17 digit registration number and click on ‘Get Admit Card’.
The ICSI exam admit card will be displayed on the screen.
Download the admit card and print out at least two copies for future reference.

The CS Executive admit card contains whether the candidate is appearing for any one of the modules or both of them. Similarly, CS Professional admit card contains about all or any one of the three modules.

ICSI has provided the syllabus of all programmes of Company Secretaryship There is a totally descriptive CS Foundation syllabus that explains about all the topics and sub-topics to be referred by aspirants while preparing for the ICSI exams December 2019. The topics covered under both the modules of CS Executive syllabus are also provided by officials. As there are 8 subjects distributed into two modules of CS Executive, candidates have to follow the subject topics accordingly. Next comes the CS Professional syllabus which has 9 papers (8 compulsory and 1 elective paper). There are 3 papers in each module of CS Professional wherein candidates have the option to appear in one module at a time or all modules in one go, as the case may be. Thus, the topics are to be referred and prepared accordingly.
The authorities are expected to announce the ICSI result on February 25, 2019 in online mode. Candidates need to have their ICSI exam roll number and the 17 digit registration number handy in order to access the result. The CS Foundation result contains the marks obtained in each subject and the status of having passed or not passed the ICSI exam December 2019. The CS Executive result is also announced in online mode and the result page reflects marks obtained in all subjects, module-wise score (if appeared in individual module or both modules). As there are three modules in the next level, the CS Professional result contains score obtained in the subjects and modules, if appeared for them all or one at a time, as the case may be. The authorities also share merit list and list of top three rank holders for all programmes on the official website. The steps to be followed by candidates in order to access the ICSI result are as follows:
