About ACET 2024

The Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) has announced the ACET May 2024 dates through an official notification on its official website. The online registration for ACET May 2024 has started on March 19, 2024. The deadline to register is April 20, 2024 up to 6 PM. ACET May 2024 would be conducted on May 4, 2024. There is no registration fees for ACET May 2024.

Students who have completed Class 12 with English as one of the subjects are eligible to apply for ACET June 2024. The online-based entrance exam comprises five sections namely mathematics, statistics, data interpretation, English and logical reasoning. ACET is 3 hours duration exam. A total of 70 questions of multiple-choice questions type are asked in the examination.

What is ACET Exam?

Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) is conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India twice a year to screen students for admission to actuarial science courses offered by the Institute. ACET result is valid for a period of three years from the date of declaration of the result. Candidates who qualify ACET exam become eligible to apply for the IAI membership to apply and pursue actuarial courses.

ACET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Admission to the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) is conducted through two channels. One is through the ACET entrance exam and the other is the non-ACET route. In case of candidates seeking admission through the ACET exam, they need to meet the ACET 2024 eligibility criteria which have been elucidated below.

  • The applicant must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination
  • Subject They must have studied English as one of the main subjects at 10 + 2 level
  • Candidates pursuing their graduation or higher studies like engineering or professional courses, chartered or cost accountants, company secretaries, management graduates, degree holders in mathematical and statistical sciences etc are also eligible to appear for the exam
  • Candidates who are into employment
  • Candidates with qualifications in Mathematical subjects

ACET Eligibility Criteria is the set of minimum qualifications that a student should possess for not just appearing in the entrance test but to avail admission into actuarial science courses.

ACET application form May 2024 has been opened on March 19, 2024. The last date to register is April 20, 2024. The application form can be accessed at the official website of IAI. There is no registration fee for ACET May 2024 exam. As part of the online application process, the candidates were required to go through a number of steps as mentioned below.

How to fill ACET 2024 application form?

  1. Registration - The first step in the application process is registration. As part of the ACET 2024 registration process, candidates need to enter their name, email id, DOB, ad gender. They will also need to enter and confirm a password for the new applicant account. Enter your passport, PAN or Aadhaar card number and finally submit the details to complete registration.
  2. Fill the form : Candidates will also be required to enter their personal, and academic details and contact details.
  3. Upload photograph and enter personal details - In this step upload a recent passport-size colour photograph (4.5 cm length x 3.5 cm width). The photo resolution should be 150px *150px with a size not more than 1MB to be saved only in (.png, .jpg, .bmp, .jpeg, .gif, .raw) format.
  4. Select Exam City - Candidates do not need to select the exam city as the exam will be conducted in a home-based mode.
  5. Pay the application fees - In this step pay the exam fee of Rs 3000 online in online mode using Debit or Credit Card or Internet Banking. The fees has been waived for ACET May 2024 session.
  6. Submit the form - Check the application form and ensure it is complete in all respects before submitting it. After submitting the form, the candidate will be able to download the Welcome Kit of one Sample Question Paper, Indicative Solution from their login.

The institute will announce the ACET May 2024 result on July 1, 2024. Candidates can access their ACET scorecards from their registered accounts. The result of ACET 2024 will remain valid for three years from the date of declaration. Within this 3-year period, the candidate have to take student membership of IAI, failing which the ACET 2024 result would become invalid.

The result of ACET 2024 would be declared simply as pass or fail; no scores will be released.

So with regard to your query, after qualifying the ACET (Actuarial Common Entrance Exam), you can apply for the Institutes of Actuaries of India and write the various exams conducted the institutes further, after qualifying all the 9 papers conducted by the institute you will be getting a salary package of 11 lakhs per annum. The ACET results will be valid until three years.

Registration process of ACET is in online mode. There is no need of physical verification of document.

Steps to register for ACET 2022 are following:

First of all visit offical website and check eligibility criteria of ACET exam.

Then click on the “ACET Registration 2022.

Sign up by providing all details.

Next login using ACET credentials and fill the application form of ACET

After that upload documents and make payment and download receipt.
