Candidates must satisfy both the subject-wise and aggregate passing requirements prescribed by ICAI. A candidate is required to secure at least 40 marks out of 100 in each paper and a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, i.e., 200 marks out of 400, across all four papers. What May 2026 Pass Percentage Indicate

The CA Foundation pass percentage has largely remained between 15% and 22% over the last five examination sessions, with January 2026 recording a pass rate of 19.23%. If the May 2026 pass percentage remains around this range, it would indicate that ICAI has maintained a similar evaluation standard and examination difficulty level. A comparison with CA Foundation 2026 previous years also shows that pass percentages above 25% have become relatively uncommon in recent sessions.
