Candidates can check the CA Foundation result on the official website at icai.nic.in/caresult/. The overall pass percentage of the CA Foundation Jan 2026 is 19.23%. The institute has also published the CA Foundation January 2026 pass percentage for both male and female categories. The CA Foundation Jan 2026 male pass rate is 20.13%, while the female pass rate is 18.26%. The CA Foundation Jan 2026 result pass percentage also specified the ratio of the number of candidates who qualified for the exam versus the total number of candidates who appeared in the exam. A total of 1,09,694 appeared for the CA Foundation exam in the January 2026 session.

The CA Foundation result pass percentage specifies the ratio of the number of candidates who qualified for the exam versus the total number of candidates who appeared in the exam. As per the new ICAI scheme, candidates need to score a minimum of 40% marks in each CA Foundation paper and a total aggregate of 50% marks to pass CA Foundation. The sectional cut-off for all the CA foundation papers that are required to qualify to apply for CA Intermediate exam is given in the table below. Candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks in individual papers and 50% in aggregate to pass the CA Foundation exam. Candidates who score more than 70% overall aggregate in CA Foundation will be meritorious and given a qualifying status of “Pass with distinction”.
