The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has released the ICAI CA Inter and Foundation Jan 2025 results on March 4, 2025. The CA Jan 2025 results are available for download at icai.nic.in. Candidates can check their CA Jan 2025 results by entering their roll number and registration number. In the CA Inter Jan 2025 exams, Deepanshi Agrawal from Hyderabad secured All India Rank 1, while Thota Somanadh Seshadri Naidu secure AIR 2. How many students passed the CA Inter and CA Foundation exam?

ICAI has released the CA Jan 2025 pass percentage through an official notification. According to the CA Inter Jan 2025 pass percentage, a total of 1,08,187 students appeared for CA Inter Group 1, out of which 15,332 students passed. Coming to Group 2 of CA Inter, a total of 80,368 appeared for the exam out of which a total of 17,813 passed. A total of 48,261 students appeared for both groups and total 6,781 passed.

Talking of CA Foundation pass percentage Jan 2025, a total of 1,10,881 students appeared for the exam, out of which 23,861 students passed the exam. The below given tables denote the correct statistics for both exams.

As of now ICAI has only released the CA Inter Jan 2025 toppers list. Talking of CA Intermediate Jan 2025 toppers, Deepanshi Agarwal secured AIR 1 with 521 marks out of 600. CA Intermediate Jan 2025 sees decline in pass percentage

Compared to the previous sessions of CA Intermediate, the January 2025 exam saw a significant drop in the pass rates. A total of 14.07% students passed both groups, while only 14.17% students were able to pass CA Inter Jan 2025 Group 1. CA Foundation Pass Percentage Sees Improvement

The year 2024 was one of the toughest year for CA Foundation students who saw lowest pass percentage in recent years. However, the CA Foundation Jan 2025 pass rate showed gradual improvement compared to the last two sessions. The CA Foundation pass percentage for Jan 2025 session was 21.52%, up from Sep 2024 session which recorded pass rate of 19.67% and way up from June 2024 session, which was 14.96%. ICAI CA Students Increasing Every Year

ICAI has recently released the ICAI Students and Members report 2025. According to the report a total of 10,06,256 students are currently pursuing CA course. Out of the total 10,06,256, the maximum number of students are registered in CA Inter course - a staggering 4,17,609 students. This means that most number of students are in the middle of the CA journey. The CA Final exam also has 2,41,391 students, which shows the difficulty level of the exam. If you chose chartered accountant (CA), then you have to write several exams and practical training. Here are some exams to write in your road to pursue CA, that are conducted by ICAI.

  • If you have passed 10th, then you can take an entry level exam. This foundation course consists of 4 papers
  • If you are a graduate or postgraduate with specified marks or higher degrees or you passed the foundation course then you can register for the IPCC. It consists of 2 groups with 4 papers each.
  • After you pass either 1 or both groups of IPCC, you should pursue articleship.
  • After completion or if you still have 6 months of your articles hip time, you can appear for the CA final exams. It consists of 2 groups each consists of 4 papers.
  • Before appearing for your final exams, you should undergo AICITSS during the last 2 years of practical training.
  • After you have passed in final exams and articleship, you can be a member of ICAI and can use Chartered Accountant before your name.

CA Foundation Exam Pattern 2024 – Details

  • The CA Foundation examination consists of four papers.
  • Paper 1 and Paper 2 are subjective type papers.
  • Paper 3 and Paper 4 are objective type papers.
  • The CA Foundation exam is conducted for a total of 400 marks, with each paper carrying 100 marks.

Candidates must successfully clear their 10th and 12th exams from a recognized educational institute . Also, the minimum mark they need to attain in their 12th standards is 50% aggregate. There is no age restriction to apply for the CA foundation.
