CA CPT Eligibility Criteria 2019 - ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) has laid the minimum basic requirements, i.e. eligibility criteria of CA CPT 2019, which had to be fulfilled by candidates appearing for CA CPT June 2019 session examination. In case any candidate is found in violation of CA CPT 2019 eligibility criteria, his/her candidature was considered disqualified. CA CPT result was declared on July 18 for the exam of June 2019 which was conducted on June 15. Candidates could fill the application form of CA CPT 2019 June session exam from April 4 till 24 (without late fee). Further submissions were accepted till May 2, 2019 with a fee of Rs. 600. ICAI also opened the application correction window- 2 for editing any mistakes. Unlike the first window, this one charged extra fee according to the modifications made by the candidates. CA CPT Eligibility Criteria 2019 includes conditions related to educational qualification, registration, etc. which must be fulfilled by candidates appearing for CPT exam. Latest: Last date of Conversion to CA Foundation extended to September 7.

Important Note: CA CPT exam will NOT be conducted after June 2019 session as it was the last session of CPT exam. It was decided in lieu of the introduction of new CA entry level exam, i.e. CA Foundation 2019, under revised scheme. After June 2019, CA Foundation has become the sole CA entry-level qualification examination and to appear in November exams, they have to get converted to CA Foundation.

CA CPT Eligibility Criteria 2019

Candidates who wished to apply for CA CPT 2019 June examination were required to fulfill the following eligibility conditions of CA CPT 2019 -

  • Candidates must have passed in 10+2 level (Senior Secondary) qualifying examination from any national or state recognised Board of Secondary Education in India.

  • Candidates must have registered/switched over to Common Proficiency Course with Board of Studies of ICAI on or before June 30, 2017.

  • Candidates CPT registration must not have expired.

  • Candidates applying for CA CPT 2019 June examination should've a valid registration Id as at the time of filling the application form.

Exemption from CA CPT 2018

ICAI issues direct entry to next level course of CA i.e. intermediate courses to candidates who,

  1. Have completed graduation or post graduation in Commerce stream with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of all subjects or its equivalent from a state or nationally recognised university including open universities are exempted from CA CPT.

  2. Candidates holding UG/PG degree in a stream other than Commerce with at least 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade from recognised University (including Open University) are exempted from CA CPT exam.

Note: Candidates whose eligibility was found doubtful were asked to furnish documents fulfilling eligibility requirements at least 14 days before the conduct of examination i.e. CA CPT 2019.
