CA CPT Eligibility Criteria 2017 - ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) has laid minimum basic requirements, i.e. eligibility criteria of CA CPT 2017, which must be fulfilled by candidates appearing for December examination. In case any candidate is found in violation of CA CPT 2017 eligibility criteria, his/her candidature will be considered disqualified. Candidates who registered for CA CPT course before October 1, 2017, are eligible to fill the application form. The application form of CA CPT 2017 will remain available from October 4, 2017 to October 25, 2017 (without late fee) and November 1, 2017 (with late fee). CA CPT Eligibility Criteria 2017
Candidates applying for CA CPT 2017 December examination need to fulfill following eligibility conditions of CA CPT 2017 -
Candidates must have passed 10+2 level (Senior Secondary) qualifying examination from any national or state recognised Board of Secondary Education in India.
Candidates must have registered/switched over to Common Proficiency Course with Board of Studies of ICAI before October 2, 2017 (since October 1, 2017, was a Sunday).
Candidates must get re-validated his/her registration to Common Proficiency Course in case it has been three years since their CPT registration. Candidates must note that CPT course registration is valid only for three years. So, candidates who are already registered need to re-validate from concerned Regional Office before their registration expires before three years.
Candidates applying for CA CPT 2017 December examination must have a valid registration Id as at the time of registration.
Exemption from CA CPT 2017
Candidates who have completed graduation or post graduation in Commerce stream with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of all subjects or its equivalent from a state or nationally recognised university are exempted from CA CPT.
Candidates qualifying undergraduate or postgraduate degree from Open University are also exempted from appearing in CA CPT.
Candidates holding UG/PG degree in a stream other than Commerce and have obtained at least 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade from recognised University (including Open University) are exempted from CA CPT exam.
Note: Candidates whose eligibility is found doubtful, they will be asked to furnish documents fulfilling eligibility requirements at least 14 days before the conduct of examination i.e. CA CPT 2017.
